K9AY works well (with 3 grounding rods but not one). Much better than vertical or dipole to EU but noisier than an inv L to VK. I am thinking about receive 4 square. Will it work within elevated radials? This is the the only choice? Inv L is not in resonance by itself but is tuned by an L network. Two rx 4 sq are available. One from DX Engineering, for close to $2000. Another by K7TJR for a total of about $700. Would the cheaper do it?
