I have one of these antennas in a windy hilltop location. It is guyed (as I
don't have the courage to leave it up unguyed, as the spec suggests, in
winds gusting up to 90 mph).
I have had one up for 2 years now. In heavy winds it is bending over some 45
degs, but once the stormy weathe is over,
it comes back to a vertical position.
Admittedly, I am inland so perhaps I dont get the gusts you have. BUT so
far, all looks good, with no guying.
