Hi Bill, I sure agree with Earl, Don and Herb.....but I would stay away from Quarterwave radials. It's almost impossible to get more than one of them to carry any significant current. Try four eightwave radials and an inductor to make them "look" like quarterwaves. Your radiation pattern will be much more symetrical. Take a look at the K5IU artical in Communications Quarterly for spring 1997 for some real eye-openers on the subject. 73's, Barry |
