I will be joining the WH6R multi-multi group in Hawaii for the CQWW CW
contest. This is the KH6XX super-station of the 80's under new ownership,
located on the northern shore of Oahu. Hopefully the weather will clear by
the time I get there (tomorrow!), there have been some extremely heavy rains
lately which have prevented last-minute antenna work by KH6HH and crew. The
station consists of (6) 90' towers, I'm not sure what's on them but they're
big and and there are lots of them (e.g. 2el 80, 10el 10, etc.). All of
this overlooks the Pacific Ocean on an 800' bluff, as has been described to
me. Looking forward to working Europe on 160, let's hope conditions are
good and the Hawaiian sun comes back. Look for WH6R around 0430-0500Z and
around 1530Z on 160 for Europe.
Good luck to everyone and CU on the bands!
Aloha!
