We talked a little about this at the Huntsville Hamfest. Is it possible =
(and/or
within the rules) to adjust the circle before each contest depending on
participation?
i.e. Say, K4WI is gonna be on during the 10M contest, but guys on the ea=
stern
edge of the circle are not. Can we move the center of the circle west a =
bit for
that contest.
Furthermore, can we move the circle POST contest to include more guys.
Is there a lawyer in the house who's familiar with club rules? (Steve, K4=
RF?)

I believe the limit is set in stone by the ARRL. And probably for a
good reason, otherwise clubs such as the PVRC would have 6s in it.
and I belive However, this came up a while back, the circle can be
realigned. I would suggest whoever does this extend the far edge to
Court, and see what happens.
Of course we don't want to lose any members, but if this Club is going
to become more aggresive, it may be necessary, especially if the
bylaws concerning contest activity and attendance are not met.
One more thing. I think everyone agrees 100% that family comes first!
But surely, there has got to be an hour or two to get on. So what if
you only make 50 contacts, that's 50 more than we would have gotten.
With the quality of contesters we have, admittedly led by some pretty
good superguns,
we should be doing better.
I think Bill pointed out also the low score in the Unlimited category.
So what if I'm not going to place in the top 10....A score is a score,
HP or LP, Packet assisted or not. And with the fantastic new cluster
whick Ernie has created, multipliers can be a breeze.
Off the soapbox now. Don't know if this has been announced, but I am a
subnode to the megacluster on 145.01. If you're in the reagion of
Acworth, and can't hit Ernie, just
hit "c sbnod" ( without the paren ) and then the normal connect to
Sawnee and KS4Q.
