The last I heard, the results had been posted on our webpage, but the
officers were to review them and advise if they could be released
further. I plan to put a note to the cq-contest reflector and the SEDXC
reflector about their availability when I have been given the OK to do
so.
I believe Jere needs to have the go ahead for the certificates, Jay for
the plaques, and someone needs to send the results to participants who
don't get them by e-mail. One year, Jere included the results with the
certificates. I don't think he did so last year and not everyone gets a
certificate. But they need to get a copy of the results to encourage
them to enter again.
I guess it would be possible to check the calls of the logs received in
QRZ and send out some kind of a message about the availability of the
results via e-mail and then someone could mail a copy to anyone not in
QRZ or Buckmaster with an e-mail address and to those whose addresses
turn out not to be good in those sources. What do you think we should
do in that regard?
Mike, as I have mentioned before, I cannot seem to print a complete copy
of the results. The right side of the results runs off the paper. I
get a big blank side on the left due to the SECC logo at the top. But,
I can't seem to get the printer to do it any other way. If you don't
have an idea about how I can print my own copy, could you print a copy
and bring it to NQ4I for me next weekend?
I did the Ala QSO Party with a borrowed mobile at the end of Sept and
had a ball in spite of there not being as much activity as in the GQP.
This is definitely the way to have real fun in GQP.
Mike, did you ever get a report as to how close we came to having
activity from all 159 counties? Maybe we could set a line at whatever
the total was this year and try to improve that in the future.
73,
John, K4BAI.
