I entered CQWW this weekend, using 14.17 (with the updated country
list, useful for the GA stations...).

On Saturday I was working, in search and pounce mode, on 20m and when I
had reached the top of the band switched to 40m for a while. My log
shows that I worked UW3U at 1420 on 14120. I was a bit surprised this
morning to receive an eQSL for that QSO indicating it was actually on
40m. The following QSO with OK1DG was indeed on 40m (7057 at 1423).

Now I guess either one of us might have got the wrong band, but I
surmise that I had not cleared a previous entry in the callsign field
(of a station I had not worked), switched band on the K2 which is
connected via the serial link, then just typed the new call on top. SD
did not update the band information, or even the frequency, until I
logged OK1DG on 40m.

I guess losing a 1 point QSO is not worth losing sleep over, but it
should be something people should be aware of.

By the way, I don't use any of the keying functions, WinKey or
whatever, everything is sent by my own two fingers, so the other
problems mentioned are not relevant.
