I just switched to dashes for the BARTG Sprint. I had always used
spaces before. It seemed to me that there were fewer requests for
repeats than in the past, certainly not more requests.
My cq exchange(with sn #1): linefeed hiscall 1-1 space
My S&P exchange (with sn #2): linefeed 2-2 space
It was fast, and in a contest fast is fun! Why load it all up
with unnecessary callsigns, leading zeros, 599s, shifts, BTUs,
etc? Get to the meat of the matter and git 'er done!
Oh, and if I ask for a repeat on your number, puleez don't lazily
hit the exchange key again. Just send me the number! In the time
it takes to resend the exchange, you could have resent just the
number 20 times! (30 times if you use dashes)
