Matt, If you live within a mile or two of any 100 to 500 KV power lines you may be getting corona noise. At my previous QTH I could count on the high pitched buzz any time it rained or snowed or even in super heavy fog. I had both a 1/2 mile away 100KV and a mile away 380 KV and they both just howled when wet.
