Wasn't speaking exclusively about local RFI from the vehicle...but the
pole top noise that one finds along the highways, byways, city streets,
etc. I lived in a place and do so now where the local area RFI is
sometimes 20-30db over S9 across the entire band...the noise comes from
burglar alarms, street lamps, cracked insulators on power poles, etc. I
can imagine the proponents for BPL will find similar locations and say
the RFI is comparable to RFI currently in existance...
I agree the RFI is distinctive and easily recognizable but signal
strength wise I've heard worse ...
