Good day to you. I have experience in the equipment you mention and can
offer relation as way to help.
I have a extremely similar network, with a piece of equipment running as
a "COR master" (commonly referred to as base in KarlNet lingo), and
multiple "slaves" (referred to as satellites). Most of the satellites
in the network are 4.15 lucent/Orinoco software, which KarlNet wrote,
and is the predecessor for the current KarlNet software. I have had
both 4.15 base units 4.43 base units working with older satellites and
they seem to respond well to it, with a common latency of around 30ms,
and typical throughput of about 3-4 megs.

Subject: [Karlnet] Karlnet vs Lucent
Recently, with assistance from Ed at Karlnet, we found a work around for
a for a latency and packet loss issue.
We operate a geographically large wisp in Allegan, MI. We use Lucent
hardware for our towers and backbones, and various suppliers for our
cpe.
We have a mix of standard lucent software and Karlnet flashes.
Using Karlnet Turbocell 4.43 as a COR in master mode to talk to a Lucent
ROR 4.15 in slave mode we get high latency, limited bandwidth and high
packet loss. Placing the COR into non-polling mode fixed this, but
limits this to a point to point link, not a point to multi point.
Moving our equipment around has allowed us to have Lucent talking to
Lucent and Karlnet talking to Karlnet in most areas.
However, my question is, will a Lucent ROR/COR in master mode talk to a
Karlnet ROR in slave mode without the latency, bandwidth, and packet
loss problems?
