I know this is a frequently asked question, but I couldnt find a definitive
answer looking through the list archives.
Does CT v8 or v9 support a time offset mechanism?
I've always had TZ=PST8PDT set, so that's obviously not the way. I've
always set my computer clock to UTC in the past, but then every other
application gets the wrong time (DX4WIN, GEOCLOCK, DXMonitor, sending
emails, etc). With the exception of CQWW and ARRL contests, I'm not a 48hr
guy, and do lots of other things with my computer during the weekend. In
the past, I've also kept my PC at normal time, and used CT_TIME to fix it
after the contest, but I always end up screwing up a log once in a while (I
just recently discovered all of the IARU cards from last year I sent out
are all 24 hours off, oops!).
Thanks,
