Hi Dave,

Just as a data point, I'm using the silicone encapsulated version of 
the RJ1A (RJ1A-26N969) in my 50 MHz amp. I have about 1" of 1/4" 
wide thin (.003") brass strip connecting the relay NC contacts (amp 
bypass) and short sections of RG-142 from the type N sockets to the 
relay common contacts. My relays are in a shielded box attached to 
the back of my amp. I'm seeing about 1.7 SWR from this arrangement 
with the amp in bypass.

I haven't yet found the ambition to go in there and play around to 
see if I can improve on that, but it's on my to do list.
