You have to edit your namedmul.ini file. It is in the c:\ham\programs folder. Just use notepad to open it. When it is open, use the search menu option and look for NAQP. When you find it you will see

WL is very particular on what you use for the VE sections. Try MAR as that works for some contests. I had a heck of a time trying to log a VE8 in one contest and I think NT was what finally worked. P
