I have a US Towers HDX-555 and am not sure how to figure the load on the tower from antennas placed at different heights above the tower. I know as I go up it further reduces the max. For the tower b
I've seen a couple of references to the XR3-NV Plus seems to have a longer boom but I can't find anything on the Force 12 website. Anyone have any more info on it? Thanks Jeff, N0OST ________________
I had a similar problem on the same setup. Turned out to be moisture in the Balun. Jeff, N0OST _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerTal
I've used old window sash weights usually 2 of the ones that are about 15" long works good. If you're attaching it to your tower you can strap a piece of PVC on the side of the tower and let the weig
Which is best for mounting a 40 meter rotatable dipole above a Tri bander. Same direction as the boom or cross ways to the boom? Thanks, Jeff N0OST _______________________________________________ ___
For rotors you might want to take a look at Green Heron, he sells packages where the Green Heron controller is substituted for the stock controller. The price is about the same as with the stock cont
As I understand it, the purpose behind retracting the elements (copper beryllium tapes) during high winds is to prevent damage to the tape if the elements movement should become too violent or if a f

Thanks for the info, I've been using a pipe to tilt the tower but the jack sounds better. I appreciate the info. 73, Jeff _______________________________________________ _____________________________
I may be all wet here, especially since I have never done this before, but it seems if you position the base of the section you want to lift near the tower you want to lift it onto then swing the boo
Sounds like a big project! I hope you're taking lots of pics, I'd like to see how it all goes. Might learn something. Good luck! Jeff _______________________________________________ _________________
I don't know what kind of boot they're using if it's an original Yaesu this probably wouldn't work but you might be able to take the back clamps lose remove the screw from the side of the connector t
