- Marc & Ed, You will find that the SteppIR beam will dramatically effect the tuning of the shunt fed tower tower. I retract (home) all the elements before loading on 160M. That way there is consistent

- Bob, do it... It can't hurt the 'transmit' performance of your vertical at all and might help. I have done that, as well as connect my radial system to the electrical grounding of the house wiring -
