I have noticed a small issue with my Orion II. It may be an indicator of a larger issue. When I set my side-tone to zero and power off the Orion II and cycle power back on the side-tone setting goes

You could try to reset the battery save area. Do all the following. 1) Power off Orion. 2) Power On holding the VFO B LCK button. 3) Continue holding LCK button until the radio says "Battery Failure"

Tnx, I will try the reset. A further clarification When the OII is warm and I cycle the power side-tone is OK (stays at 0). When I let it cool down for a few hours and power on the side-tone goes to

Update I turned on the OII this morning and it hung on the initial screen that shows the firmware date time and version. I did a full reset and it came back up. I have ordered 2 new batteries part #M
