I'd put my money on the 2.4khz filter. I worked in a paragon that sounded okay but rf power dropped off as you went higher in freq. at 10meters only 10-15 watts of power. Turned out to be a bad filte

vic, I don't have the paragon manual in front of me, so, doing this from memory. on 40 and 30 meters, the same relays control the L/C components so, if it is a relay problem, you should see it on 30
