[Skimmertalk] skimmer server crash

Wow I am impressed by your troubleshooting.

I run two CW Skimmer Server instances with my RP-16 but on the same
computer.
They are "tied" to one MAC address each and there is only one Hermes DLL in
each of their folders.

Still, if I fire up the second skimmer server too soon after having started
the first, the first one crashes,
and sometimes both. I reported this to Pavel who could reproduce it but
could not find any reason for
it in the RP software. So the circumstantial evidence points towards
HermesIntf.

Even though each HermesIntf is "tied" to a particular MAC address, it seems
there is an initial period
of "negotiation" (or something) that can easily be disturbed.

I ended up "Startup Delayer" from R2 studios (free) to separate the start
of them in time with about 15
seconds and then everything is fine. With 16 subbands I have no need for
band cycling.
