[Skimmertalk] 8 bands on Red Pitaya

Hello Björn,

I guess you are describing what I also experienced and still experiencing:

in SkimSrv UI sometimes it's not possible to add the 8th band. I am not sure if this is a known bug or similar but by accident I found how to solve it. You need first to uncheck any other band (so you have 6 bands in summary) and then click the APPLY button. Then try again to add two additional bands so you have 8 bands in total and finally press the APPLY button again. I don't know why this happens, but it works all the time for me on two different computers where I have this issue. This little workaround works fine for me, maybe you can try also.

Good luck and 73

Thanks all for the responses,

I was able to to find an old post on this reflector by Bob N6TV hinting
about modifying CW Skimmer Server's ini file and by using RTTY Skimmer
Server's
manual (there seem to be none for CW Skimmer Server) I was able to
understand its syntax. (It seems CW Skimmer Server's UI simply prevent you
from
checking more than 7 boxes.) In the ini file I also found the list of
center frequencies, I assume this is what I have to modify to cover 60m.

My skimmer now cover all eight bands 80-10m. I might get a second RP to
cover also 160, 60m and 6m.

Thanks all,

Björn SM7IUN
