Their pileups are still big enough, they just get to work more ops who can really hear and understand them.  and they'll still get human spots, so it won't be any worse than on ssb.

One of the other recent expeditions was listening down occasionally also... I thought they were doing it as a cw copying test as they had a huge pileup up from their frequency, but were easy to work if you copied the dn.

Sorry, I should have reviewed my own presentation <http://bit.ly/UsingRBN2015> on this subject.  See slide 22.  Briefly:

Originally CW Skimmer recognized just: "CQ", "TEST", and "QRZ"
VE3NEA later added "FD", "SS”, "NA" and "UP"

If they are listening down instead of up (can't remember *ever* seeing that done before), CW Skimmer will *not* recognize "DN" as a "CQ" and they will not be spotted much.
