[Skimmertalk] CW Skimmer 1.8 Problem

Hi- I am running CW Skimmer 1.8 on a win 7 64 bit PC, 4 GB memory, 2.4 ghz processor. I have a K3 radio and using Signalink USB external sound card interface. Up until about a week ago, this combination was working just fine. Now when I hit the Start/Stop button on CW Skimmer, I get the following msg " A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system" . All three status indicators in the lower left hand corner of Skimmer show "good" status. So CAT control is working and the proper VFO freq is showing in CW Skimmer. I emailed Alex and he said I probably have the wrong audio device selected. I only have 3 to pick from, and I am using Mic USB Audio CODEC. This is the Signalink USB that I am successfully using with all my digital programs and I use with CwGet, another of Alex's programs. I have tried using CW Skimmer with and without LP Bridge, but end result is the same.
