Running the QS1R during the CQ CW contest was interesting.  Despite some
problems the first evening, it looks like Skimmer Server logged more than
187K spots or more than 1 each second.

The telnet tool for reversebeacon.net lasted about two minutes into the
contest.  It seemed to bring my telnet server to a stop.  Maybe I didn't
have something set up correctly.  Perhaps the site needs some way to
indicate that a Skimmer receiving station is available for telnet access
without pumping these huge number of spots through its database.
