I just had WD5R call CQ with 1500 Watts and then cut the power in half. He did it twice and the results were 6 dB difference and then 10 dB difference. Then back to half power and he was 4 dB louder than the previous time with low power.

Jsut as an experiment with the results to be published on the reflector, I would appreciate if as many as possible could call CQ with a given amount of power and tehn move and call CQ again with half that power and send me an e-mail to tell me when, where, and what you did. I will summarize the results if there are enough so we can see what they are.

There may be a QSB issue with WD5R as he is about 150 miles from here and off the side of the beverage.

Thanks...Stan, K5GO
