I am not intimately familiar with the Omni VII so its quirks are not on the front page of my RAM. I understand them generally well enough to repair them but I have a question about the radio in TX. Is it common for this model to exhibit slight buckshot sound in the speaker on voice peaks? I heard a radio do that long ago and it was considered “normal” for that model but one would have thought Ten Tec would have worked t his out by the time the Omni VII was designed. If this is not normal, then I have more work to do...
