[TenTec] Ten Tec Regal 707 microphone

I recently acquired a Ten Tec Regal 707 microphone to use with my Omni VI+ Have 
any of the list members used the 707 with the Omni VI+ ? If so, how do you key 
the Omni VI on push to talk without wearing the cheapo slide switch on the
