It seems that the ten tec rigs aren't the only ones that suffer this problem 
with LCD displays. 

Several of the Icom pro versions have display issues. Those displays are not 
available anymore either. 

Guess you could disconnect the LCD in the Orion and run ham radio deluxe with 
the rig on the floor.
