[TenTec] 565 - 566 "battery"

Can anyone tell me if the 566 has the same backup battery as the 565 ?? 

And also is having to reset all parameters after a shut down , but Ok to 
operate until next shut down a sure sign of a kaput battery ? 

Asking for a friend who is not on TT reflector and I don’t have my 566 anymore 
and cannot remember, and RHR has not responded to his emails.
