Apparently the Scout begins to get squirrely around 11v. It seems to be the consensus that running lower power (<30w) and using short, fat battery cables with a LiFePo battery will enable several hours of portable operation with the Scout. I have ordered the 12Ah LiFePo battery. It weighs 4 pounds. Still have to order a battery charger, as LiFePo requires a special type of charger. We shall see . . . 73 - Rick, DJ0IP (Nr.
