Lloyd...I am not familiar with the 712 but did take time to look at the
manual for it. It appears to me that you can not do FSK with that
device. It will ... more than likely... run AFSK. I use the W3YY
interface with my Omni VII and do run FSK. When operating in FSK mode
the Omni VII produces the tones and I do think with the 712 the software
produces the tones.
