Hi All,

I finally got my Kit together, and I am stumped on the output power. Right
not it looks like I am getting less than 1 watt output. I looked at the
signal going into the Final 2sc2166, and it looks like the right power level
(15dBm buy using the RMS voltage observed using and oscilloscope with a 10X
probe.) I have swapped a new 2SC2166 in and no change, so I am thinking it
is something else. Could it be my tapped transformer on the output? One
think I noticed is that with out the final in I get a nice sine wave at what
would be in the base connection of the 2SC2166. When I place the 2SC2166 in
the circuit, it looks like the top half is clipped a bit. When I look at
the output where the coax connects it is a nice and clean sine wave.

The construction manual states that if output power is low, adjust the
spacing of the 3 inductors in the output circuit (Low-Pass Filter) and that
does not change anything.

Any tips? On tracing this problem?

Thanks,

Lou
