Greetings all, I'm toying with the idea of picking up a solid-state regen for casual listening, preferably with speaker capability, covering perhaps up to about 20 MHz. I'd also like it to be something I could copy CW with -- at least for strong sigs on an uncrowded band. I'm not expecting "competition-grade" performance! As noted, the 1054/1253 are possibilities I'm considering. If anyone has experience with either or has had a chance to do an A/B comparison between the two, or has had experience with or done an A/B with any of the other competing products (MFJ-8100, QRP Kits Scout Regen, etc.), I'd like to hear your comments.
