I interpreted the question in the OP as having to do with how the tuner
would perform when using it to facilitate operation on the CW and SSB
ends of a band, when the antenna was tuned to one end or the other of
that band.
The way the post was written, I did not read any intention of multi-band operation with a single-band wire. Because I employ the tuner in my Orion II in precisely that way, and with good success, I answered the way I did. Perhaps the original poster could tell me if I misunderstood the question. Phil C.
