For Sale - Ten Tec 229 tuner - highly modified.Appearance is about a 7. Electronically works perfectly. This was a project so here's what's different. Replaced the fixed caps with doorknobs, but they also tended to drift when warm. Bought the fixed caps from Ten Tec that are used in the 238 tuner and those are installed. Never liked the inductor indicator. Replaced it with a digital dial. Got the idea from this QST article - http://p1k.arrl.org/pubs_archive/109278 QST May 2008 page 67 No balun - it was gone when I got the tuner. $150 shipped conus. 73 de K1ESE John |
