Maybe... just make a voltage divider with a couple of resistors.
However, it may not be necessary. Lots of sound cards, including many
built in laptop computers, can be configured as a LINE-IN device, OR as
a MICrophone device, within the software drivers. Most Creative SB
cards work this way - you activate the same input as either a mic or
line-in jack in Windows Volume Mixer.
Yours may work this way. If so, you just set it thus, and hook it up.
If not, then post back and either I or one of the other guys will
describe how to make a voltage divider - I build them as part of making
electret computer microphones match dynamic mic inputs on transceivers.
Easy.
OR... you can buy an attenuator cable. I used to buy them at
RadioCrack. Not sure, but I suspect they still sell them.
