What kit model had a blurred manual?

Their kit manuals of the last 15 years are spiral bound, nicely printed 
with very thorough check off steps, and helpful reference information 
about components included.  You must have been building an early board 
before the use of green masking??
Are you sure the kit came direct from Ten Tec?

I am remembering some knock off kits that came out many years back.
Don't remember much detail on them, but were non masked circuit boards.
