Thought I'd mention that if you are using the Ten-Tec 706/705 microphone,
setting the PTT/VOX switch on the bottom to "PTT" will inhibit mic audio
unless the PTT button is pressed.  Some, maybe all, of the Ten-Tec hand
mics behave similarly unless they've been rewired to allow for VOX.
