Sure enough. That did the trick. Thanks Gert and Barry!

Mike,

In my Omni VI opt 3 there is in menu 3 the option CrSP this sets the rate of
the offset tuning knob in CW mode in kHz per turn from 4.8 to .15 kHz in
six steps.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [TenTec] Omni 6+ RIT Tuning Rate

My frustration with the fast tuning rate on my Ten-Tec Omni 6+ RIT
function finally exceeded my "I should do something about this"
threshold last night during the CW Sprint contest. I just changed the
setting in the hidden options menu 3 (i.e. rSPD) from 4.8 KHz/turn to
0.15 KHz/turn. This didn't have any effect on the tuning rate. Is there
a hardware and/or firmware change that is required to make this
particular menu parameter function properly?

Thanks,
