[TenTec] Orion Display-Slow to come up?

My Orion display when first turned on cold has no black letters. It takes a few 
minutes and the screen fades into proper contrast. Anyone had this problem. Yes 
I have changed all caps on regulator board and adj the contrast control 
underneath. After it has been on while, and is turned off and on within 20 
sec-it comes up normally can read the software version etc. 
Anyone have this problem?Fix? Or a spare B/W display? Don't want the new blue 
one.
