Steve:
Do the fuses blow when the HV cable is disconnected from the back of the RF
deck? That would isolate the problem either to the power supply or the RF
deck. If you have already checked the transformer, diodes and filter caps,
then check the "dead man" shorting bars in the power supply and RF deck as
well as the HV connectors. Take a look at the board in the RF deck with the
meter dropping resistors...I had a capacitor there short to the chassis once
in mine, but it made a loud bang and some smoke.
