If the horse fence stuff is like the ribbon that I have seen, it is made 
with fine stainless steel wire. Not very strong stuff. I would guess 
whipping around in the wind for a while and you might wonder what happened 
to the antenna.

That stuff is made so that when it gets a break in it, you just tie the two 
pieces together in a knot. That just might affect your resonant freq a bit.
