Lets keep these to congratulatory entries, and not a diatribe on the
logistics of company takeovers. I wish Scott the best, and will continue to
support Vibroplex, and Ten-Tec both. His leaving will not deal the death
blow to TT. If it does, I have FAR under estimated the savvy that they have
shown in past years. If Scott had not picked up Vibroplex, it may have
ended up in Timbuktu! I look forward to innovative Vibroplex'ing in the
future!

lining?
With all due respect... the fact remains that Vibroplex was for sale...
again. The company has changed hands -- and moved -- several times. It is
quite unfortunate, but it is a fact of life.
The good news is that the company is not moving off shore.
It is not being absorbed into another firm and remaining only as a brand
name (Butternut).
It is not folding up shop and going out of business altogether.
And as much as we joke about it, it's not moving to and merging into a
certain accessory company located in 5 land.
Yes, it is unfortunate that the Alabama location is losing the firm and
the
jobs. But on balance, if Scott hadn't bought the firm, in today's
economy,
the odds are that they would have gone anyway, one way or the other.
Now... can we focus on the positive, that a good man is taking over the
firm
and moving it into the future?
Now back to your regularly scheduled Ten-Tec kvetching.

I hate to be a ball buster , not really.
How many jobs will be lost in Mobile, if any, no matter how much lead
time
and how big a severance package may have been offered to current
Vibroflex
employees.
It is a huge hassle to move, if that has been offered.
A huger hassle to find a new manufacturing job.
