Mike - everyone,
Not that this will be of much help but for what it's worth I decided to run
a quick check on output power levels and thought I'd pass the results along
to everyone. I have the AT installed but checked the SWR along with power
levels while in bypass mode.
160m - 99w SWR 1.2:1
80m - 98w SWR 1.2:1
40m - 95w SWR 1.1:1
20m - 92w SWR 1.1:1
17m - 90w SWR 1.3:1
15m - 89w SWR 1.4:1
12m - 87w SWR 1.5:1
10m - 86w SWR 1.4:1
6m - 65w SWR 2.1:1
The load being used is a Microwave Devices model 636N - with silver braid
coax & silver connectors (from a professional radio shop). The numbers
above were from a Drake MN75 but I checked with two other meters I have
available and all were +/- only a watt or two.
Good luck and keep us posted after you talk with the Ten-Tec folks.
73's
Steve

The plot thickens!
Looks like this one may have to make a trip back to the factory
Not only is the swr metering out of wack, but the total RF power
output is quite low
on 40 meters with the power set at full bore, I get about 76 watts out.
14.0 volts, 22 amp
50 ohm load
NO band produces more than 80 watts output
While I know that there is +/- 10% power output, less than 80 watts
is out of spec----especially for a radio that costs $3k
