>"I was able to eliminate the intermod by inserting an old Johnson Viking LP filter in front of the Omni VI+. Has anyone encountered or heard of a similar UHF intermod problem with the Omni VI? Jack K1VT" Déjà vu. I ran into the exact issue back in '92 when I purchased my Omni Six. I used a Nye Viking low-pass TVI filter to eliminate everything received above 30 MHz. I traced my source of interference to a couple local TV and FM broadcast transmitters. Not sure why the front end was susceptible to strong-signal VHF, but an internal LPF right at the front of the Rx would have been a welcome addition.
