Gary:

The TenTec Wiki is the best place for this ... all the info in one table (including the stock code for when the filter has no other markings!).

<http://tentecwiki.org/doku.php?id=filters>

You can see the Models 282, 285 and 288 are 6.3MHz filters.

The Model 216 through 221 are the 9MHz

INRAD are also a good source of info (they make filters) for which IF is which:

<http://www.qth.com/inrad/tentec_menu.htm>

The Cosair II will only accept extra 6.3MHz filters.

The Omni V can use both 9MHz and 6.3MHz filters.

The other Omni V users here can recommend the optimal setup (though I suspect that would be matching 9MHz and 6.3MHz filters for PBT to work best and 9MHz would be closer to the mixer so they would be preferred first).

Gary,

According to a "Ten-Tec Instruction Sheet for Models 282, 285 and 288
Crystal Filters," they are designed for use in the Omni V, Paragon,
Corsair and Corsair II transceivers. These are for the 6.3 Mhz IF. Per
another instruction sheet, the 217 and 219 that you mentioned are for
the Omni V (and other listed units, but not the Corsair II) 9 MHz IF.

Looks like my Corsair II is going to be my backup rig. I'm getting
ahold of my father's Omni V which has been mothballed for years.

I have a couple questions in light of this;

Looking at the old brochures, I see the CW crystal filters are
different numbers between the Corsair II & the V, are they
interchangeable though?

I have the model 285 500Hz & the model 282 250Hz filters (no 288 SSB
filter) and see the V calls for model 217 for 500Hz & a 219 for 250Hz

If the Corsair filters can be placed successfully in the Omni, that
would sure be nice.

Thanks,

Gary
