Art, my Omni VI+ AF control is similarly sensitive. I use inexpensive
noise canceling headphones but have found the same issue with three
other pairs of cans. I now take audio off the speaker jack at the
rear of the rig and thru a DSP audio filter and then an external
speaker with a headphone jack. BTW, I do the same thing with an Omni
VII because its headphone audio volume is way too loud at more than 2%
for me.
73, Gary W7TEA Hi All, On my Omni VI the AF gain is very sensitive, going from essentially nooutput to more than I'd really like in a few degrees...with a sweet spot in between I can hit with some effort. FYI, I am using amplified headphones(Bose QC2). Is this typical, or do I perhaps have a bad pot? Also, I don't find any difference in the functioning of the two concentricRIT/XIT knobs. True? Or am I missing something? Thanks, Art, K0RO |
