I too observe a lot of negative "Tentec ism" on the bands.  I guess there 
may a jealous or envious streak in some folks, specially those that want to 
be like everyone else and own one of the "big 3".  In many cases they've 
never had a good radio and subsequently do not know the difference. At the 
same time they highly recommend what someone else said as being fact, uh 
never owning one that is.  More likely they are to amplify the negative.
No difference than the current political situation as I see it.  Just dig up 
dirt and slander the candidate seems to be the game of the day.
Well for me, my series of Tentec radios have served me quiet well.  More 
often than not I get complements on the transmit audio quality without 
asking for an audio report.   And I can usually dig a station out of the 
noise while others are trying to figure out if there is a station in the 
noise.  But hey, they own one of the "big 3".  I don't.  I just own a Omni 
VII.
I sold my Omni VI Plus with a tummy full of filters and matching power 
supply.  I traded my Paragon II and tummy full of filters and matching power 
supply in to Tentec on the Omni VII.  After almost 3 months of operating the 
Omni VII  I will say that it is superior to the other radios in all ways.
I like Ron's comments.  They are right on!
