Steve,
Depends on what you mean by "how well". There is no reason a SB-1000
cannot be connected to an Omni V to work perfectly as far as power
output and linearity is concerned. The Omni V has power output of the
right order of magnitude to properly drive the SB-1000, if adjusted
correctly. The question is what kind of keying interface is needed and
what will be the limitations for QSK performance. If you just want PTT
operation and fast VOX, most any amplifier can be operated to give clean
and worthwhile gain.
