Try some 6" pvc pipe . I use that before going into the radio and it cured
all the problems I had when using a amp . John kb2huk

A side benefit was a drop off with white noise. I can hear them week DX
stations better. This was a step in the right direction.
I had 3 rounds with the FCC since 1968. With no restrictions. There is
not a day that goes by that I do not think about RFI and what I have not
tried that just might work.
I have coils of coax at the feed point of each antenna. That bad side of
it is I coiled it like rope and electrical taped it. I need some of those
8" diameter plastic coffee cans and wind the cable around those and make a
better choke.
The shielded ground helped a bunch a few years ago. You can go 30, 40
feet with one, and is worth the effort. The trick is to eliminate the RF
ground loops. Tuff to do at times, and every ones situation is different.
Consumer products keep getting worse.
