Yes, I thought about that, but I haven't done the math. Actually, the
Scout has a 2.5 MHz PTO, but the second harmonic may cause trouble,
although there is a low pass filter on the PTO output.

Most tentec gear has a 5 MHz PTO and a 9 MHz IF, running RF at 5.3 MHz
makes for lots of birdies in and out. Probably worse than the early 17
meter setups where the 9 MHz IF doubled to put out a signal just outside
the ham band.
